T.I. and 50 Cent have been feuding online post discussions about a potential Verzuz battle.
Rap icons 50 Cent and T.I. are feuding online, and now the police are chiming in.
The hip-hop giants have been going back and forth on social media after ongoing discourse about the two rappers potentially participating in a Verzuz battle, according to multiple reports, including Billboard and Complex.
The ordeal has escalated to personal jabs at family members and diss tracks.
In a humorous Facebook post earlier this week, the South Fulton Police Department, based in Metro Atlanta, claimed people were calling them about the public spat.
"We are fully aware that T.I. and 50 Cent are currently engaged in a verbal discrepancy of lyrical proportions," the agency said. "After conducting a preliminary linguistic analysis of Mr. Harris’ expansive vernacular, we’ve determined this matter falls outside of our investigative jurisdiction."
They also tagged the New York Police Department in the post and said, "Let’s make sure everybody gets along this time." 50 Cent is notably from Queens, New York, and T.I. is from Atlanta.
USA TODAY contacted the South Fulton Police Department on Feb. 26 for more information, but did not receive an immediate response.

'I don't respect him,' T.I. said about 50 Cent
T.I. and 50 Cent have a history of beef, but the conflict was reignited in early February, according to Complex and Billboard. T.I. appeared on Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco's podcast, Nightcap, and discussed the idea of going hit-for-hit with 50 Cent in a Verzuz, which he has been calling to happen for years.
"He don't want smoke, though," the Southern emcee said. "He's ducking smoke. It's cool."

Shortly after, as Billboard reported, they exchanged words on an Instagram post calling each other a "rat," a slang term for a police cooperant or informant. In another recent interview on the "Million Dollarz Worth of Game" podcast, T.I. expressed that he changed his mind about doing the battle with the "In da Club" rapper.
"I don't want to stand on stage with him," he said to hosts Gillie Da Kid and Wallo. "I don't respect him."
T.I. releases several diss records
Tiny Harris and T.I. attend the 68th GRAMMY Awards at Crypto.com Arena on February 01, 2026 in Los Angeles, California.
Things took a turn when 50 Cent responded and shared a photo of T.I.'s wife, X-Scape singer Tiny, on his Instagram, as well as other now-deleted posts directed at the Georgia rapper's family.
Per Complex, the move prompted a response from T.I.'s son, King Harris, who began taking explosive jabs at 50 Cent's late mother, Sabrina Jackson.
Since then, T.I. has released several diss tracks, one titled "War" and another called "Right One," XXL reported.
In an X post on Wednesday, Feb. 25, T.I. shared a third song, seemingly called "What a Bully," along with a cover photo of 50 Cent when he lost weight for the 2011 sports movie "All Things Fall Apart."
"I don't make memes, I MAKE MUSIC!!!!," the caption said. "IDGA (Expletive) what you erase... You keep posting = it's Problems!!!!"
50 Cent has not responded to T.I. via a diss track, but has been posting about his latest ventures in television and film as of Thursday, Feb. 26.
