Faith No More may be done for good.
Mike Patton, 58, revealed in an interview with Consequence published on Monday, Feb. 23 that he’s unsure about the future of the rock band.
When asked if there was a “sense of closure” during the band’s last tour in 2016, he said, “I didn’t really think so at the time, but, yeah, maybe. And I think that we all kind of felt it, but it was unspoken.”

“And it’s funny, when you’ve been in a band or a musical situation for a period of time, in the back of your head, you’re kind of thinking, ‘Well, maybe this is it.’ And I don’t mind that feeling. I don’t see it as a sad thing,” Patton added.
Instead, the vocalist interprets the feeling “as being present and being able to really appreciate it while it’s happening.”
The band, per Billboard, last performed in 2016 with the late Chuck Mosley. Patton, meanwhile, hasn’t performed with the group since their 2015 tour in support of their Sol Invictus album.
Faith No More was slated to go on tour in 2020, but it was canceled due to the pandemic. The band then announced fall 2021 performances but they were scrapped after Patton pulled out because of his mental health.

Patton, who was later diagnosed with agoraphobia, spoke with Rolling Stone in 2022 about how he struggled shortly before Faith No More was slated to go on tour.
"Right around the time that Faith No More was about to go back on the road. That’s when I kind of lost it, and it was ugly and not cool. A few days before we were supposed to go on the road. I told the guys, ‘Hey man, I don’t think I can do it.’ Somehow my confidence was broken down," he said.
Patton said the conversation happened "right before our first rehearsal."
He gave an update on the band at the time, saying, "We may reschedule stuff; we may not. I’ll just leave it at that."
