The family legacy of fitness has continued with Denise's younger daughter, fitness influencer Katie Austin

Katie recently recreated the cover of one of her mom's early 1990s pregnancy workout videos, remarking on how she was one of the first to tackle pregnancy fitness

Katie Austin is channeling her mom as she works out through her pregnancy.

The influencer and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, 32, recently recreated the cover of her mom Denise Austin's 1990 workout video, Pregnancy Plus Workout.

The 1980s fitness icon first created the video when pregnant in the early 1990s. Katie's recreation is spot on and a special celebration of their mother-daughter bond.

Sharing the photos side-by-side on Instagram, Denise wrote, "BEYOND BLESSED!!! THEN + NOW!!! My daughter @katieaustin shared this yesterday and it was too good not to reshare!!!"

Sharing the photos on her own Instagram, Katie wrote, "Fun fact: my mom @deniseaustin was the first mainstream American woman to bring pregnancy workouts into women's homes. THATS CRAZY. She truly pioneered prenatal fitness… and getting to carry that legacy forward in my own way means everything💪."

Denise commented on Katie's post, writing, "YESSS… This makes me cry with HAPPINESS!!!!! It's so special that THEN.. YOU were in my tummy for this cover and NOW.. it's YOU [who is] having a baby!!!! Awwww .. it's just so nostalgic you are re-creating it 32 years later.. I love you!! So sweet and feeling so grateful….Xoxoxo."

Katie first shared her pregnancy news on Instagram on Sunday, March 15, just weeks ahead of marking her second wedding anniversary with husband Lane Armstrong.

The post featured a series of photos from a maternity shoot on the beach. Katie and her husband can be seen holding hands, embracing and cradling her pregnant belly as they celebrated her pregnancy.

One shot shows Katie — who wore jeans and a white button-down shirt worn open to showcase her baby bump — resting her hand on her stomach while holding a strip of sonogram images.
