Dorinda Medley and Kiki Monique are sending love to Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby following the tragic passing of her son, Robert Cosby Jr. The two spoke about the “heartbreaking” news on the February 25 episode of their Sirius XM radio show Reality Checked, saying they “can’t imagine” what Mary is going through at this moment.

Mary Cosby’s son Robert Jr. has died at 23

On Wednesday, February 25, TMZ reported that Robert Jr. died on Monday, February 23 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Police told the outlet they responded to a call for a “full arrest/medical emergency for a 23-year-old male.”

The cause of death has not been confirmed, but TMZ reported that police responded to a “potential overdose.” Mary has been open about Robert Jr.’s struggles with drug addiction on RHOSLC.

Dorinda and Kiki responded to the news on Reality Checked.

“A couple hours ago we got, I think, some of the most heartbreaking news in Bravo world that we’ve gotten in a long time. We learned that Mary Cosby’s only son Robert Jr. has died. He was only 23 years old,” Kiki told listeners. “The news, I think just sent shock waves through all of the Bravo world. I don’t think a lot of us can believe this is happening. I think we were just kind of rooting for Robert and we were praying for Mary, and it’s just really sad news and I just wanna send love to Mary and her whole family.”

Dorinda became emotional over the news, calling it “horrific.”

“I don’t even know how to speak on someone that has a person, especially a child, that is possessed, because that’s the word I’m gonna use, with a drug addiction,” she said. “That’s a mistress that you can’t fight with, right? And I think, you know, there’s no solution, but she stood strong, you know, when he was in jail, she said, ‘I’m happy he’s there.'”
